Growing healthy children and communities since 2012

About Us

Founded in 2012 and coordinated through the University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa College of Tropical Agriculture and Human Resources (UH CTAHR), the O’ahu Farm to School Network works to strengthen and connect farm to school programs on O’ahu by building the network of service providers and producing professional development and policy advocacy opportunities for volunteers.

Mission

The mission of the O’ahu Farm to School Network (OFSN) is to create connections to grow healthy children and communities through garden-based education and farm-fresh local food. OFSN envisions and works to empower the development of schools as models of resilient communities.

Vision

Creating a holistic education system that renews our relationship to food, farming, and the environment while raising academic achievement in our keiki.

OFSN is one of five Island Networks that constitute the Hawaiʻi Farm to School Hui, which is a statewide network of over forty public-private entities dedicated to strengthening Hawaii’s farm to school movement. The Hawaiʻi Farm to School Hui formed in 2010 and is a program of Hawaiʻi Public Health Institute.
